Ducktape’s Pokemon Gym Leaders

Everyone loves Pokémon and wishes they were a Pokémon trainer battling through Victory Road to reach the Elite Four.  Each Pokémon game offers eight different gyms that the player must defeat in order to obtain the badges to enter Victory Road. Each gym represents a different Pokémon type, and the gym leader will use that type of Pokémon. Each person has their favorite gym leader whether it’s Brock and his rock Pokémon or Bae and her fighting Pokémon and always discuss what gym leader they would be and who their line up will be.  Here at Duct Tape Inc., we have all chosen different Pokémon types for our gyms and the Pokémon trainers would have to defeat in order to get our badge.  We have come up with 8 different Gym Leaders, do you think you could complete our Victory Road?

  1. Gengar was introduced in Generation I. Gengar is a shadow-like round-bodied Pokémon with two large, pointed ears and short spikes down its back.  Gengar has two big eyes and an evil smile and claws for hands.  Gengar is quite short but can levitate. Gengar is a mean-spirited creature who enjoys tormenting people, hurting them, and possessing them.  Gengars are most active during full moons disguising themselves as shadows and lurking in the dark waiting to strike their victims.

  2. Gimmighoul is a pure Ghost-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.  It evolves into a Gholdengo when the trainer receives 999 Gimmighoul Coins.  Gimmighoul has two forms the Chest Form and the Roaming Form. Gimmighoul is a small, blue-gray, metal bipedal Pokémon with bands of two thin black stripes around its torso.  It has antennas and a tail.  In Chest form the Gimmighoul hides inside a red chest decorated with black and golden accents with a silver buckle on it.  The Chest form provides defense but makes it hard to move.  It uses the chest as a disguise possessing the victim as they try to open the chest.

  3. Trevenant, the Elder Tree Pokémon, is a Ghost and Grass type. This Pokémon controls through its feet like roots. It will attack anyone that approaches it in the forest. It is Phantump’s only evolution which is achieved through trading. Trevenant disguises itself as a decaying tree to lure its enemies before snatching them up.

  4. Golurk is a Ground Ghost Pokémon introduced in Generation V. It is an automaton Pokémon resembling a stone suite of armor. It is teal with yellow symbols on its hands and shoulders. It is believed that inside every Golruk is a perpetual motion machine that produces limitless energy. Golurk is the one and only evolution of Golett. Golurk big size offers it great defense and attack power. It can shoot energy beams and even fly. Golurk will follow all of its masters orders without question.

  5. Mimikyu is a Ghost Fairy type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. This Pokémon cannot evolve but it can change its appearance when struck by an attack. Mimikyu is a small Pokémon whose body is almost entirely hidden underneath a sheet.  It’s the shortest ghost type to appear in any Pokémon game.  It has black eyes looking out through the sholes in sheet.  The head of the cloth resembles Pikachu which is how it lures its victims in.

  6. Sableye is both a Dark and Ghost type Pokémon that was introduced in Generation III. This Pokémon has no known evolution but it is able to mega-evolve . Sableye is a dark purple body and is armed with razor sharp teeth and claws. Its gemlike eyes help it see at night and dark lit areas in order to search for Gems. If attacked it will use its claws and its eyes to steal the souls of their victims.

  1. Eiscue is a pure ice type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII. This medium -sized penguin like Pokémon is not known to evolve but offers two different forms Ice Face and Noice Face. In its Ice Face form Eiscue has a large ice cube on its head which is not durable but can protect it from physical attacks. When the cube breaks it transforms into its Noice Face form which shows what Eiscues look like under the ice. Eiscues keep themself warm under the ice which allows them to live in the extremely cold areas.

  2. Cloyster is a half water half ice type Pokémon that was introduced in generation I. Cloyster evolves from a Shellder when it comes in contact with a water stone. This bivalve mollusk Pokémon is encased in the grey shell surrounded by a sharp jagged casing. Its shell is harder than a diamond and when its shell closes it is impossible to open from the outside. Cloyster will clamp down on its prey making them unable to escape.

  3. Mr. Rime is a primary Ice and secondary Psychic Pokémon that was introduced in Generation VIII. Mr. Rime evolves from a Galarian Mr. Mime and is the final evolution of Mime Jr. This humanoid clownlike Pokémon wears a tuxedo bowler cap and walks with a cane. It releases psychic powers through its stomach and controls ice with its cane. Mr. Rime is a highly skilled dancer and teaches Mime. Jr how to dance. When a Mime Jr. learns the dance steps it evolves into a Galarian Mr. Mime.

  4. Frosslass is an Ice/Ghost type Pokémon that was introduced in Generation IV. When a female Snorunt comes in contact with a Dawn Stone it evolves into a Frosslass. Frosslass is a humanoid Pokémon whose hollow torso resembles a kimono. It uses levitation to float around and stalk its prey. Frosslass will freeze its victims with its -58 degrees F breath. After they are frozen it will eat their soul. A Frosslass can be found in the snowy areas and have been known to place curses on men.

  5. Darmanitan was originally introduced in Generation V as a pure Fire-Type Pokémon. In the Galarian region Darmanitan is an ice type and evolves from an Galarian Darumaka. Darmanitans, biology is a result from adapting to the cold Galar region. It develops an organ that produces cold air, while its flame sac becomes dormant. It uses the snowball on its head to store food and other things it may find. When battling it freezes its snowball and uses it to headbutt its enemies. Darmanitans can be found in cold snowy mountainous regions of Galar.

  6. Lapras is a both a Water and Ice type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. This Pokémon does not have a known evolution at this point in time. Lapras is a marine reptilian Pokémon that resembles a plesiosaur. It loves crossing the sea with people and Pokémon on its back and understands human speech.

  1. Kingdra is a primary water type and secondary dragon type that was introduced in Generation II.  It is the second and final evolution of Pokémon Horsea.  Seadra evolves into Kingdra when the player trades a Seadra holding a Dragon Scale.  Kingdra is a large sea horse that is covered in blue scales on its belly and a yellow stomach.  With its snout it is able to shoot water and bubbles to attack its enemies.  Kingdra’s have immense strength which can create giant whirlpools that can topple vessels.  Kingdra hibernates in the deep sea building up energy to attack its prey.

  2. Slowbro is both a Water and Psychic type Pokémon that made its debut way back in Generation I.  Slowbro has two different forms and is one of Slowpoke’s final evolutions.  This pink Pokémon resembles a hippo. There is a shellder attached to its tail which makes it evolve into a Slowbro. Slowbro has lost its capability to feel pain due to the Shellders poison. Slowbro’s are typically peaceful and prefer not to fight. Slowbros live near ponds, seashores, and lakes where they swim in order to catch their food.

  3. Jellicent is both a Water and Ghost type Pokémon that was introduced in Generation V. It evolves from a Frillish at level 40. The Jellicent has two different versions similar to the Frillish. The Male Jellicent is light blue while the female is pink. Jellicent is a large jellyfish like-Pokémon. It can absorb seawater which well allows it to swim. School of Jellicient gather and hunt down their prey during a full moon. They will take down cruise ships in the water and feed on the life energy of their victims.

  4. Drednaw is a dual-type Water and Rock Pokémon that was in Generation VIII. It evolves from a Chewtle at level 22. Drednaw is a large Pokémon resembling a snapping turtle. Its shell is made up of rock and its jagged fangs are powerful enough to break through rock, iron and steel. Drednaws lurk along the shorelines waiting for its prey. When its prey stops for a drink of water it attacks by biting and chomping down its victims.

  5. Greninja is both a Water and Dark type Pokémon. It is the final evolution to the Water starter of Generation VI, Froakie. This frog-like Pokémon appears and vanishes with a ninjas grace. It toys with its enemies using swift movements, while slicing them with throwing stars made out of the sharpest water that can slice through metal.

  6. Walrein is an Ice/water type Pokémon that was introduced in Generation III. Walrein is a huge walrus-like pokemon. It has a big blubber layer under its skin that absorbs damage. Walrein evolves from a Sealo and is the final evolution of Spheal. it uses its giant tusks on its jaw to bite down on its enemies. Walreins are found around the icy seas, where it is frigidly cold.

  1. Swampert is a half water half ground type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. Swampert is the final evolution of the Water starter from the Hoenn Region, Mudkip. Swampert has great physical strength that can easily move more than a ton. When a storm is approaching, it will make a nest out of boulders to protect itself. In addition Swampert will cover itself in mud to keep its skin moist. Swampert tend to live on or near the beach.

  2. Hippowdon is a pure Ground-type Pokémon that was introduced in Generation IV. It evolves from a Hippopotas at level 34. This large hippo-like Pokémon come in two different colors. The male is light brown while the females are dark grey. Hippowdown’s huge mouth can open up to over 7 feed wide. This mouth has the capability of crushing a vehicle. Hippowdon is short tempered and easily provoked into attacking. They typically live in desserts, but have the capability to survive in swampy marshes

  3. Mamoswine is a Ice and Ground type Pokémon that was introduced in Generation IV. It is the final evolution of Swinub and evolves from Piloswine when it learns Ancient Power. Mamoswin is a large Pokémon resembling a wooly mammoth and a boar. Its thick fur allows it live in the ice snowy terrain and eats very little. Mamoswine population has been in decline due to the climate getting warmer.

  4. Sandaconda is a pure ground pokemon introduced in Generation VIII. It evolves from Silicobra at level 36. This tan serpent Pokémon can spew sharp objects like, pointy gravel and sand. It’s saliva hardens it into irregular shapes that can be very dangerous. Sandacondas can be found in sandy terrains and deserts. While the Sandaconda may act tough and confident, when it runs out of sand they will become timid and cowardly very quick.

  5. Steelix is a Steel/Ground type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It evolves from a Onix when traded while holding a Metal Coat. Steelix’s evolution is said to have been the result of an Onix’s composition becoming more diamond-like after living for about 100 years. Steekix lives even further under ground than Onix. This Pokémon is known to dig towards the earth’s core. Steelix can easily chew through boulders whit its jaws and has the ability to see in the dark. This helps the Steelix hunt underground.

  6. Garchomp is a Dragon/Ground type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It resembles a hammerhead shark and a dragon. Garchomp carves its opponents up with the scythes on both arms. Its arms and wings melted into scythes. Mad with rage it rampages on and on. Garchomp is a pseudo-legendary Pokémon that swims through the sand and below the ground.

  1. Aggron is a duel steel and rock type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It it is the final evolution of Aron and evolves from a Lairon at level 42. Aggron has a horn sharp enough to penetrate thick iron sheets. It brings down its opponents by ramming into them horn first. It relentlessly beats up anything that violates its environment.

  2. Metagross is a steel/psychic type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It is a Pseudo-legendary Pokémon and is the final evolution of Beldom. Metagross is the result of the fusion of two Metang. This Pokémon defeats it opponents through use of its supercomputer level brain.

  3. Empoleon is a Water and Steel type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It is the final evolution to the Water starter of the Sinnoh Region, Piplup. The three horns that extend from its beak attest to its power. The leader has the biggest horns. It can swim as fast as a jet boat. The edges of its wings are soo sharp, they can slice apart drifting ice.

  4. Magnezone is a Electric/Steel type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. IT is a robot-like Pokémon which resembles a UFO. Magnezone is the result of Megneton leveling up in the presence of a special magnetic field or exposed to thunderstone. It is the final evolution of Magnemite. Magnezone has the ability to control anti-gravity and float through the air at will. It is strong enough to carry humans with ease.

  5. Lucario is a dual type Fighting/Steel Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It evolves from a Riolu when leveled up with high friendship during the day. Lucario can study auras to predict the movements of its opponents and track their quarry. Lucario is considered to be prideful and is extremely loyal to its trainer.

  6. Ferrithorn is a Grass and Steel type Pokémon that was introduced in Generation V. It resembles a flattened durian. ITs metallic body is covered in thorns . This Pokémon crawls across rock walls by stabbing the spikes on its feelers into the stone. It uses the tips of its feelers to absorb the nutrients that are within the stone.

  1. Infernape is a Fire/Fighting Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. Infernape is the final evolution to the fire starter Chimpchar. Its crown of fire is indicative of its fiery nature. tT is beaten by none in terms of quickness. IT tosses its enemies around with agility. It uses all its limbs to fight in its own unique style.

  2. Salazzle is both a Poison and Fire type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. This Toxic Lizard evolves from a female Salandit at level 33. Male Salandit are not known to evolve. Salazzle can be found deep in caves with a reverse harem of male Salandit. Salazzle emits a poisonous gas that contains sweet-smelling pheromones, which attracts the males.

  3. Charmander is a pure fire Pokémon from Generation I. This Pokémon is the fire starter from the Kanto Region. This Lizard like Pokémon has a flame that burns at the tip of its tail. This indicates its emotions, the flame wavers when Charmander is enjoying itself. If the Pokémon becomes enraged the flame burns fierce.

  4. Marowak is a ground type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from a Cubone at level 28. In Alola, Marokaw is a duel Fire and Ghost type Pokémon, It evolves from a Cubone when leveled up at night. In the Alola Region, Marowak was faced with many grass type enemies, This harsh environment led it to bond closely with its friends. This is said to have created a sixth sense and caused it to take a new form.

  5. Arcinine is a pure fire Pokémon from Generation I. Arcanine evolves from a Growlith when exposed to a fire stone. Arcinine is known for its high speed. It is said to be capable of running over 6,200 miles in a single day and night. The fire that blazes wildly within this Pokémon is its source of power.

  6. Centiskorch is both a Fire and bug type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. IT evolves from a Sisslepede at level 28. Centiskorch creates flammable gases by fermenting the food in its body, and then burns these gases through the heat-generating flames on its body, which can reach temperatures of 1,500 Degrees F.

Toxtricitry (Amped Form)

  1. Rotom is a duel Electric/Ghost type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. Rotom is not known to evolve but has the ability to possess different appliances in order to change form. It also learns a new move depending on which appliance it possesses. Rotom can posses a microwave, washing machine, refrigerator, fan, and lawn mower. When possessing a fridge it becomes frost Rotem and becomes an electric and ice type Pokémon.

  2. Stunfisk is both a Ground and Electric type Pokémon that made its debut in Generation V. It is not known to have an evolution but does have two different forms. In the Galar region Stunfisk appears as a ground and steel type. Stunfisk is the trap Pokémon. IT conceals itself in the mud of the seashore. Then it waits for its prey to touch it, then delivers an electric shock.

  3. Electro was introduced in Generation I as pure electric Pokémon. it is the final evolution of Voltorb and has two different forms. In the Hisuian region, Electro is a both a Grass and Electric type Pokémon. Electro eats electricity in the atmosphere. On days when lighting strikes, you can see this Pokémon exploding all over the place from too much electricity.

  4. Lanturn is a both a water and electric type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It evolves from a Chinchou at level 27. Lanturn is nicknamed “The deep-sea star” for its illuminated antenna. This Pokémon produces light by causing a chemical reaction between bacteria and its bodily fluids inside the antenna.

  5. Luxray is a pure electric type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It is the final evolution of Shinx and evolves from a Luxio at level 30. Luxray’s ability to see through objects comes in handy when its scouting for danger.

  6. Toctricity is an Electric Poison type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII. This bipedal, lizard-like Pokémon has two forms, the Amped and Low Key forms. It evolves from a Toxel at level 30 and the form it takes depends the Nature of that Toxel. By clawing at the organs on its chest Toxtricity can generate over 15,000 volts of electricity as well as sound, which resembles and electric guitar.

  1. Tyranitar is a dual-type Rock and Dark Pokemon introduced in Generation II. This pseudo-legendary pokemon is the final evolution of Larvitar and evolves from a Pupitar at level 55. This Armor Pokemon is soo overwhelmingly powerful, it can bring down a whole mountain to make its nest. This pokemon wanders in the mountains seeking new opponents to fight.

  2. Houndooom is both a Dark and Fire type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It is the final evolution of Hounndour. In a Houndoom pack, the only one with its horned raked sharply toward the back serves as the leader. These Pokémon choose their leader by fighting among themselves.

  3. Hydreigon is a dragon, dark type Poekmon introduced in Generation V. This pseudo-legendary Pokemon is the final evolution of a Deino and evolves from a Zweilous at level 64. Hydreigon is the Brutal Pokemon and responds to movement by attacking. This scary, three-headed Pokémon devours everything in its path.

  4. Umbreon is a pure dark Pokémon that was introduced in Generation II. This Pokémon evolves from an Eevee as a result of exposure to the moon’s waves. It hides silently in darkness and waits for its foes to make a move. The rings on its body glow when it leaps to attack.

  5. Zoroark was introduced in Generation V. It evolves from a Zorua at level 30. Zoroark has two different forms. Its first form is a pure dark form and its second form is the Hisuian Zoroark. This regional Pokémon is a Normal Ghost type Pokémon. This one evolves from a Hisuian Zorua at level 30 as well. Zoroark is the Illusion Fox Pokémon. If it thinks humans are going to discover its den, it will show them visions that make them wander around the woods.

  6. Weavile is both an Ice ype and Dark Type pokemon that was introduces in Generation IV. It evolves from a sneasle when leveled up while holding a Razor Claw during the night. Weavile is the Sharp Claw Pokemon. Thanks to increased intellligence, scrapping over food is a thing of the past. A scratch from its slaws will give you a case of frostbite.
